My father, George Barris, was known as the “King of the Kustomizers.” He started out in the 1950s, and was blessed to have all these ideas about how to build Kustom cars.
(He always spelled it with a K.) For the last 16 years of his life, I worked with him.
He was a lot to handle, but he always taught me one lesson.
“I don’t want to hear the word can’t,” he would say.
